The Regional Executives of the New Patriotic Party Youth organization (NPPYO), says Nana Addo’s government has driven Ghana’s education sector to heights never achieved in the country’s history.
According to the executives, the New Patriotic Party has initiated many policies to the benefit of Ghanaians.
They added that, President Akuffo-Addo has achieved what his predecessors could not do in the educational sector.
“What NPP has achieved in the educational sector is unprecedented in the annals of the history of this country” they said.
They cited the free Senior High School programme as a policy that has brought relief to Ghanaians.
The youth executives also disclosed that, nearly 1.2 million students from all part of the country are currently benefitting from the free SHS policy.
“In terms of educational infrastructure, Nana Addo’s government has constructed a total of 2,729 classrooms with capacity to accommodate 109,160 pupils, whereas Mr. Mahama in four years built 840 classrooms” they said.
The New Patriotic Party Youth organization executives champion also added that, the NPP government has restored Nursing and Teachers training allowance and teachers recruitment is now done at the regional level to ensure proper decentralization.
They added that, the NPP government has abolished the fees for post graduate medical training and the cost of BECE and WASSCE exams had been absorbed by Nana Addo’s government with free WI-FI connection to the public universities for online education and researching.
“On the basis of performances, the leadership of this country by Nana Addo has resulted in much better outcomes than any government. Going forward, we can continue to trust and rely on NPP government in the next four years” they added.
