People from both the NDC and NPP parties celebrated together after the results were announced.

In her speech, Ms. Agyemang thanked President John Dramani Mahama and the Assembly Members for their support. She promised to lead fairly and to welcome ideas from everyone.

She said her work will focus on roads, schools, and helping young people. She also asked everyone to work together, no matter their political side.

Ms. Agyemang, who is also an internal auditor at the Ghana Education Service, said she hopes to help the district become a municipality. She promised to work with the local MP, Kofi Amankwa-Manu, to make this happen.

The MP praised the Assembly for agreeing together and said he will support her, even though they are from different political parties.
