Member of Parliament for North Tongu Constituency, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has reaffirmed his dedication to advancing education by donating laptops to newly posted teachers assigned to rural communities within the constituency.
A total of 36 teachers are benefitting from this latest phase of the initiative, which is part of a larger vision to support and motivate educators working in underserved and remote areas.
“This gesture is our way of showing appreciation to teachers who accept postings to rural communities in my beloved constituency,” the MP remarked. “We want them to feel welcomed and valued.”
Mr. Ablakwa emphasized that this laptop donation is a strategic component of his broader educational improvement agenda. He also announced plans to expand other teacher-focused initiatives, including:
- Continuous professional development programmes
- Scholarship schemes for further studies
- Annual awards to recognize outstanding educators
“These initiatives are intentionally designed to retain quality teachers, boost morale, and ultimately elevate the standard of education for our children,” he added.
The donation underscores Mr. Ablakwa’s ongoing commitment to educational equity and development in rural Ghanaian communities.
