Black Stars head coach Otto Addo has visited Ghanaian defender Abdul Mumin in Spain as the player continues his recovery from a thigh injury sustained in late March.
The 26-year-old centre-back was forced off during Rayo Vallecano’s 1-1 draw with Sevilla on March 31 and has since been sidelined from La Liga action. His condition is being closely monitored by the Black Stars technical team ahead of Ghana’s participation in a four-nation friendly tournament in the UK.
Set to face Trinidad & Tobago, Nigeria, and Jamaica on May 28 and June 31, 2025, Ghana will use the competition as preparation for their September 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
Mumin, who has nine senior caps, expressed gratitude for the coach’s visit and shared details about his rehabilitation progress. He has already missed World Cup qualifiers against Chad and Madagascar and will also be unavailable for the upcoming UK tournament.
