Black Queens head coach Kim Lars Björkegren has unveiled a strong 24-player squad for Ghana’s upcoming international friendlies against Côte d’Ivoire, set for May 30 and June 3, 2025.
These matches form part of the team’s final preparations ahead of the 2025 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco, which runs from July 5 to July 26.
The squad maintains a solid core from last month’s doubleheader with Senegal while introducing several new talents. Notably, Ampem Darkoa Ladies defender Nancy Amoh and Northern Ladies goalkeeper Afi Amenyaku have received their first senior national team call-ups following standout performances during the recent training camp at the GFA Technical Centre in Prampram.

Additionally, the squad welcomes newcomers Abigail Kofi Kim, who plays for Ankara BB Fomget in Turkey, and former Black Princesses defender Louisa Animwaa of Portuguese side Valadares.
Experienced players Grace Acheampong (TP Mazembe) and Alice Kusi (Al Ahli) also make a return to the national setup after brief absences.
These two fixtures against Les Éléphants will provide vital match experience as Ghana eyes a strong campaign and potential continental success at WAFCON 2025.
