Italian Serie C team SS Arezzo has officially announced the loan signing of Ghanaian midfielder Shaka Mawuli during the ongoing summer transfer window.
The 25-year-old Ghanaian player is joining SS Arezzo from Serie B side FC Sudtirol for the duration of the 2023/24 season. Mawuli’s primary objective is to secure more playing time to facilitate his personal development as a footballer.
In a statement posted on the club’s website, the signing of Shaka was confirmed, stating: “Società Sportiva Arezzo is delighted to announce that it has reached an agreement with footballer Shaka Eklu Mawuli, who will join the amaranth team on a temporary basis from Südtirol.”
“Born in 1998 and hailing from Ghana, Mawuli has accumulated over 100 appearances in Lega Pro, representing clubs such as Catanzaro, Fano, Ravenna, Sambenedettese, Lucchese, and Südtirol, where he achieved promotion to Serie B and made his debut last season,” concluded the statement.
Mawuli will undoubtedly aspire to make a significant breakthrough at his new club, with the ultimate goal of representing the Ghana national team, the Black Stars, in the future.
