Training Principal of the Salvation Army Officers Training College(OTC), Mayor Isaac Amankwa voices out that, it is about time Government investigates doctrines and conducts of churches in the country.
Speaking at the 25th annual anniversary of the Salvation Army Church, Akotsi Corps on Sunday, August 29, 2021, the Principal stated that, before a person can be a pastor in the Salvation Army Church, the person must pass through a two consecutive years of training before the power as a pastor will be given.
“He calls himself a pastor, but his actions doesn’t communicate as such, many Pastor’s have moved away from the word of God to do evil, which has separated many families. The Salvation Army Church is known for its genuine doctrines that is why we train individuals for two years before giving them power to be called a pastor” he said.
Major Isaac Amankwa advised everyone who has passion for Ministry to patiently wait to pass through an appropriate training because, one needs to study humans very well to succeed in Ministry.
“We have to learn a lot about humans before we can successfully have a fulfilled ministry. The Salvation Army Church is a church of humanitarians , not only within the church but Christians as a whole because, we’re all children of God”
The Principal also pointed out that, the society must do everything within power to expose individuals who claims to be men of God yet, harming the society. This is because, they are threats to the society.
” If you realize any unusual thing about someone, imediately report to authorities. We must monitor strangers and people closer to us because the world has turned into a violent place, be your neighbor’s keeper” he voiced.
Gomoa Akotsi corps Officer, Captain Amos Twumasi Ankrah, who was present urged the Government to speed up to pass the bill to avoid such practice because it is not acceptable in our various religions.
” Since the time of our forefathers, we haven’t heard people of same gender having intimacy so why should we accept it now. We plead with the government to do something about it”.
Chief of Gomoa Akotsi, corps sergeant, Major Nana Sarfo Ninsin (XVIII) also urged all Christians to work very hard to make means for themselves because, the Bible even teaches about hardwork.
“A Pastor will pray for you, but where do you get money to feed your family. Make efforts to make earns in life aside going to church. Church is good, but do not forfeit work”.
Major Nana Sarfo Ninsin XVIII also advised that, it is about time every Christian work hard to contribute to the economic standards of the country.
