Nsoatreman Football Club led twice against Tamale City to win 2-1 against Tamale City at the Accra Sports Stadium to win the ticket to the 2022/2023 Ghana Premier League season.
The two Division One League Zone 1 sides were involved in a tie-breaker encounter at the Accra Sports Stadium on Tuesday, June 21, 2022.
Tamale City and Nsoatreman Football Club were tied on the same points, 71 apiece and same head to head following a 1-0 win for either side at its home ground.
The Nsoatre-based side scored first through Samuel Ofori in the 56th minute before Bismark Asare scored from the penalty spot to hand Tamale City the equaliser in the 64th minute.
The game travelled to the extra time after the regulation time ended 1-1.
Eight minutes into the extra time Charles Asante scored what emerged as the match-winner for the Nsoatreman.
Nsoatreman ended the game with a 2-1 win, securing the slot to the 2022/2023 Ghana Premier League Season.
FC Samartex 1996 from Zone 2, Kotoku Royals from Zone 3 and Nsoatreman FC from Zone 1 are the teams from Division One League that will be playing in the topflight.
It will be the first appearance in the top flight for all three teams.
