The Police on Wednesday, June 15, 2022, arrested Three military personnel and one other accomplice in connection with a robbery incident that occurred on June 4, 2022, at Nsakina near Amasaman.
Police investigations into the robbery led to the arrest of the three suspected soldiers, No 208183 G/CPL. Yinsabilik Gabriel, No. 280252 G/L/CP; Elikem Adams, No. 209016 L/CPL. Asiedu Stanley and Malik, the accomplice.
According to the police report, the four suspects mounted a wall into the complainant’s residence, robbed him and his friends of eight mobile phones, and forced them to transfer an amount of GH850 to a registered MTN number in the name of Gabriel Yinsabilik.
Investigations led to the identification of three military personnel, who were apprehended by military police and turned over to the Amasaman District Criminal Investigation Department.
While the investigation is ongoing, the three military suspects have been cautioned and released to military police.
During the course of interrogation, their accomplice, Malik, allegedly confessed to the crime.
