Renowned Nollywood veteran, John Okafor, affectionately known as Mr Ibu, marked his 62nd birthday in a Nigerian hospital, the location of which has not been disclosed.
A video shared on the actor’s official Instagram page @realmrIbu showcased the celebration, with Mr Ibu surrounded by his close family members. Dressed in hospital attire, he sat on the bed, a trolley before him carrying his birthday cake and some refreshments. His family joyfully serenaded him with the ‘Happy Birthday’ song.
Despite evident discomfort, Mr Ibu softly joined in, clutching a knife to cut the cake.

Born on October 17, 1961, in Enugu State, Mr Ibu has made a significant mark in the Nigerian film industry, featuring in over 200 Nollywood productions.
