Fuss about men with “power” trying to have their way with female artistes before offering them their help is nothing new to the music industry.
However, Takoradi-based Afrobeats artiste, Sally M, has disclosed she’s never encountered such situation in her two years music journey.
In an interview with Nana Yaw Gyebi on Takoradi based Connect FM, the “Makoma” crooner also acknowledged the need to exercise decorum in everything you do as a female artiste. This will make others respect your personality and brand.
“I haven’t experienced this before. I think how you carry yourself will also make others respect you. If you go around desperately doing things anyhow, you’ll be taken advantage of.
Again, if you know your worth, you won’t succumb to certain demands.
I have team and we work like a family, and none of them has demanded sex from me for help. If any of them does, I’ll just report the person,” Sally M said.
