It is a voluntary exercise and anyone can contribute – Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia

Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia calls on the Presbyterian Church of Ghana and other faith-based organizations to willingly contribute in building the national cathedral.
Dr.Bawumia is positive the building of the cathedral will glorify the name of the Lord.
The Vice President joined the Adabraka Official Town branch of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana in Accra on Sunday, August 22,2021 to celebrate 30 years of Ministry of the district Minister, Rev. kwadwo Owusu Sarpong.
He admired the role of faith-based organizations in the country in helping of the developments of the country.
Dr. Bawumia acknowledged the great contributions of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana in partnering the government for development.
He again called for voluntary contributions from everyone to support the building of the national cathedral.
Rev. Owusu Sarpong who was excited by the visit of the Vice President urged him and the government to build a unit hospital across the country to care for the aged.
“Ghana needs your rich, knowledge and experience in the the area of development and social services at the local, regional and national level”.
“Your professional competence will serve our people well like the Apostles of hope, the church and society need wisemen like you”.
“I implore you to let your voice be heard in the national disclosure”
“The nation needs independent voices like yours. Be assured that you are on the side of God and he will watch over you”. Dr. Bawumia said.
“I want to make one point before I sit down. As you all know, there are efforts to build a national cathedral and it is very important we build the cathedral. It is a voluntary exercise, anyone who wants to contribute can contribute”
I have contributed and I will contribute more so I encourage everybody to think about it and let us build it. It is not for anybody, it is for Ghana and for the glory of God” he added.
